Jennifer Mitchell

Cool Spring Primary School is pleased to recognize Mrs. Jennifer Mitchell as our Employee of the Month for September 2019!  Mrs. Mitchell is a KWCPS alumnae, teacher, and resident of King William County. She currently teaches kindergarten, and she begins every day with a positive attitude and a love for her students and classroom.

Mrs. Mitchell radiates positive energy that translates into high levels of student engagement and excitement for learning.  Mrs. Mitchell takes the time to build relationships and find out what motivates her students.  She is patient, caring, and kind, and she works hard to build a strong foundation for student success as they begin their educational journey with her.  She is highly deserving of this recognition.

Deborah Winn

The Acquinton Elementary School Employee of the Month for September is our Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Deborah Winn. Over the past month, Mrs. Winn has single handedly served the front office while we have been searching for a new financial secretary. She has gone above and beyond to navigate 2 positions and has done an amazing job. Her colleagues have shared the following:

  • “I feel like Mrs. Winn” does a tremendous amount for the school that can accidentally be overlooked.”
  • “She always goes above and beyond and keeps a smile on her face. She always does so much that goes unnoticed and has helped us prepare for the school year. Mrs. Winn is one of the first people we see each morning and she welcomes everyone! Mrs. Winn is such an important part of the AES family!”
  • “Mrs. Winn is doing an awesome job holding down the office and helping answer everyone's questions while we search for the new financial secretary.”

The Acquinton Family is proud to honor Mrs. Winn as the Employee of the Month for September 2019.

Lindsay Thompson

Hamilton Holmes Middle School is pleased to recognize Lindsay Thompson as Employee of the Month for September 2019.  Lindsay has dedicated a lot of time to the creation of the new Hamilton-Holmes Fitness Room. Lindsay's innovative thinking and hard work have resulted in our AWESOME new space that serves our entire student body and staff.  This is an outstanding contribution to the HHMS community.  We applaud her vision which gives our students a space to exercise and encourages their pursuit of health and fitness.  Many students have already taken advantage of the alternative learning environment, and we are thankful that Lindsay has provided this opportunity for our students. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our students.

Col. McNulty

The employee of the month for KWHS is Col. Daniel McNulty.  Mr. McNulty is always willing to lend a hand. He demonstrates, "Be That One" behavior to all stakeholders. Under his leadership, we have seen our AFJRTOC program grow to over 90 students!  Col. McNulty is a role model for students in both his attitude and effort. These are the core characteristics I want students to focus on this year, and he is an excellent example for students to follow. This year he took on the role of cross country coach as well as increasing the opportunities for our Color Guard to be more active in our community. This Saturday, he is taking the AFJRTOC cadets to the West Point Grab festival. This is one of the many "extra" activities he does for the program to ensure they are going to the "Next Level." Thank you, Col. McNulty, for all you do to help make KWHS a great place to be!!

Elizabeth Davis

The King William Food & Nutrition Program is proud to name Ms. Elizabeth “Liz” Davis as the Employee of the Month for September 2019, based out of Cool Spring Primary School. Ms. Davis has served as the School Nutrition Manager at Cool Spring Primary since August 2015, but has worked in School Nutrition since 2012.  Liz is dedicated and committed to executing her position with excellence.  She works closely with the Nurse to ensure all students with allergies are safe when eating in her cafeteria.  Ms. Davis is always eager to learn and expand her knowledge of the School Nutrition Department and always maintains a positive attitude.  She is a valued member and great asset to this department.

Prior to starting her career in School Nutrition, Ms. Davis was a dental assistant and full-time mom to her son, David “DJ”.  Liz and her son DJ reside in Essex County, VA.  She has lived there for 30 years. Liz enjoys working in the School Nutrition Department because she likes interacting with the students and she finds it rewarding knowing she is contributing to helping provide healthy meals for our youth. She enjoys the interaction with the other School Nutrition staff members and always contributes to an enjoyable, fun work environment.  In her spare time, Liz enjoys reading, painting gardening, putting together jigsaw puzzles, visiting new places and spending time with family.  We are delighted to have her as a member of our family.
