What is MAP Reading?
The MAP test is a diagnostic test that generates a score based on Word Analysis, Nonfiction and Fiction understanding. The MAP test  gives students a Lexile Range Score. The 5th grade teachers look for students to be between a 600-800 when they enter the 5th grade.  Research has shown that students who have a Lexile score of 865 by May will pass the reading SOL test. Please make sure when you are reading a book that book is in the correct Lexile range.
