Course Description:

This thirty-six week course that enables students to utilize state-of-the-art technological systems in applied physics, audio broadcasting, careers, electricity, energy/power mechanics, engineering bridges, flight technology, graphic communication, research and design, robotics, rocketry and space, and weather.  This course provides numerous hands-on activities and computers activities, equipment and tools that are designed to enhance student interaction, problem solving and technological literacy skills.

  • First Lego League

    Note:  HHMS First Lego League will be forming two teams to participate in the Nature's Fury Competition.  We are looking for students interested in robotics and legos.   We are limited to ten students per team.  The students will work as a team  setting up the project, display table and programming the robots from 3:10-4:30. Any student interested may see Mrs. Ambrose or pick up a sign up form in the office. The Coach and Assistant Coach will make final decisions on the selection team members and have the right to dismiss a member.

    Course Description:

    Evaluation Procedures:

    The school district’s grading scale will be used to evaluate student performance on tests, quizzes, projects/reports, homework, and participation.

    • A-----93-100
    • B-----85-92
    • C-----77-84
    • D-----70-76
    • F-----Below 70

     

    Homework:

    Homework is usually not assigned in this class.  The purpose of homework is to extend or reinforce skills covered in class.  All students are expected to complete any homework that has been assigned to them.

     

    Materials/Supplies:

    1. Pencil or pen
    2. Earbuds
    3. Agenda

     

    Class Rules:

    1. No eating, or chewing gum
    2. Be on time, seated, and remain in labs
    3. Bring all required materials to class
    4. Respect yourself and others
    5. Ask questions relevant to class
    6. Be responsible for your actions
    7. Keep all body parts within your station area
    8. Respect all equipment
    9. Follow the “Code of Student Conduct”
    10. Keep on task at all times

     

    Remember:            “Choices have consequences, make wise choices.”
