I have been working with the King William Sheriff Office since 2008. I started off in the Animal Control Unit and stayed there for about a year and half. I then went to Patrol and mostly worked the day shift. After four and half years the position of School Resource Officer came available. I interviewed for the position and I am happy to say that I was chosen for the job. Of all the positions I have had at the Sheriff Office this has been the most rewarding. I started in 2014 as the new S.R.O. (School Resource Officer). I also am the D.A.R.E. Officer and I teach lessons at Acquinton Elementary. I enjoy this because it helps me to get to know these kids and they get to know me.
My main base is King William High School and this is where my office is located. This keeps me busy but I do stop by the other schools as well. I try very hard to visit when I can so that the students have a chance to meet me and see me on a regular basis. I am fortunate to be able to watch these kids grow from Cool Springs to King William High School. My goal is to meet, guide, mentor and be there for any student that needs help. I look at these kids as my own and I will do my best to protect them from anything that might hurt them and that includes themselves.
