School Board Appoints New School Board Member

At a special meeting on Monday, October 29, 2018, The King William County School Board approved the appointment of Dr. Tara Roane as the interim school board member to serve the Fifth/Mangohick Magisterial District. 

Dr. Roane holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Longwood College, a Masters of Education with focus in Special Education from Regent University, a Post Masters Certificate with focus in Educational Leadership and Administration from The George Washington University.  Additionally, she holds a Doctorate Degree in Administrator Leadership and Teaching from Walden University. She is currently employed with Essex County Schools as the Director of Special Education and Student Services.  King William County Schools would like to welcome Dr. Roane as a school board member.

The seat became vacant when Mr. Donald Longest resigned the position effective September 18, 2018.  This interim appointment is effective until the regular election for the Fifth/Mangohock Magisterial District is held in November 2019.  This term will run through December 31, 2019.
