AES Students Visit General Assembly Building

On February 23, eleven Acquinton Elementary School students were recognized by the Virginia House of Delegates for their artistic achievements. These students were invited to the Capitol by Delegate Peace of Virginia's 97th District and were accompanied by their parents, AES principal Shelley Nester, and art teacher Kristen Hare. Their artwork had been on display in the General Assembly Building throughout the 2017 session. During their visit, the students were provided with a unique opportunity to personally meet with Delegate Peace and take a private tour of Virginia's Capitol.
