Congratulations to the new members of the Gentlemen's Club at AES. This is quite the accomplishment!

Field Day Rescheduled

Due to the impending weather, Field Day will be postponed to a later date. Thank you for your patience and cooporation.

Congratuations to the Reading Olympics team Book, Line, and Sinker for winning the competition last night! It was an incredible night of fun and engaged learning!

Field Day Postponed! sad face

Due to the impending weather, AES Field Day will be postponed and rescheduled for next Thursday, April 6th. Information will go home in Tuesday folders.  

February 28th-LITERACY NIGHT! charlie

REMINDER: Mark your calendar for the AES Literacy Night on Tuesday, February 28th featuring a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory theme! You will not want to miss this fun night and the chance to WIN a prize!

Join us for the Eagles 5k! AES

On Tuesday, flyers were sent home with students for an Eagles 5k! If you are intertested please fill out the form and return it to AES. 

Spelling Bee Winner from AES! #shawna

Congratulations to Shawna Tarkington, who was named the 2017 district spelling bee champion for King William County Public Schools.  Shawna, a fifth grade student at Acquinton Elementary, won the spelling bee by correctly spelling the word “haversack.” She will compete at the Richmond Times-Dispatch Regional Spelling Bee, scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Library of Virginia.

In order to participate in the district level spelling bee, students from Acquinton Elementary School and Hamilton-Holmes Middle School first competed in classroom bees and school level bees.  The top five spellers from each school were invited to compete in the KWCPS spelling bee.

Winter Donations Donations

A huge thanks goes out to Broadus Memorial Baptist Church for donating hats and gloves to our school. They were a huge hit for those snow days!
