In the Agriculture classes at King William High School each year, FFA members participate in a service project on giving. The chapter worked with an organization called Samaritan’s Purse to box 40 shoeboxes with shoes, hats, scarves, toys, and personal hygiene items for kids all over the world who may receive nothing for Christmas. FFA advisor, Howard Hill, thought this would be an excellent project to teach his students it’s better to give than receive. The members loved this project because they were able to purchase the supplies off a materials list that each child needed. Afterwards, the members were really excited about the charitable work they had done.
